Mercedes Reveal Launch Date and Revamped Name for 2021 F1 car

Mercedes have just announced the launch of their new car for the 2021 season. The Silver Arrows will launch the new ‘Mercedes W12 E Performance’ F1 car at the beginning of the next month.
Amid all the suspense regarding the Hamilton-Mercedes negotiation saga, the F1 community is eagerly looking forward to the launch of the 2021 car, an absolute favorite to win the championship this season.
Teams usually launch their respective cars in the middle of February. Fans had lost all hope to see the Mercedes car anytime soon, as Toto Wolff had stated a couple of days earlier that the car is not yet ready by a long shot and looked like an emptied Lego on the floor at the time.

However, the team just announced the date, March 2, 2021 on their Twitter post, captioned, “it’s a date.” The new ‘E Performance’ designation is reported to appear on all forthcoming Mercedes AMG hybrid road cars as well.

The Brackley team’s power unit has proved its might over the last seven years. They have created a hybrid engine that has won every single title since 2014. As a result, having a Mercedes power unit can cause a significant improvement in a team’s performance.

This season, there are three teams that will be driving under Silver Arrow’s power unit on the grid – Aston Martin, McLaren, and Williams. All of them are looking to improve their performance and are an exciting prospect for the 2021 season.
