Miami GP Will Sport Bizarre Yacht Park to Add Monaco-Like F1 Atmosphere

Formula 1’s popularity in the United States has seen extreme growth. There are several reasons, but reports suggest that Netflix’s Drive to Survive is the major cause for the sudden spike in interest. So, the FIA has a reason to host multiple races in the United States and has added a Miami GP to the 2022 calendar along with Austin, Texas. Additionally, F1 also moves to Las Vegas in 2023, much to the excitement among the fans.


The Miami Grand Prix was supposed to be held during the 2019 season. However, issues with the port in Miami meant that 2022 is the first time F1 moves to the city.

It will take place on a street circuit around Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. However, the proposed creation of a lake along with parking space for yachts in the circuit has not gone well among the fans.

Miami GP will feature Monaco like Yachts

The fans know the Monaco Grand Prix for its street racing and especially for yachts which attract the viewers. While one may want to sail this thing around the world’s finest waterways or park it right by their house, yachts are traditionally at their most lucrative bobbing away in Monaco while Formula 1 is in town. And Miami looks to create a Monaco-like aura during the Grand Prix.

Reports have confirmed that Miami GP in the Hard Rock Stadium will ensure there is a small lake along with a yacht club.

Miami is near the coast of the Atlantic, but the circuit is not along the coast. Earlier, Front Office Sport has also revealed the view of the circuit. As seen in the image, the lake is comparatively small, and yachts cannot sail in or out of the lake.
