Rosberg remembers his psychological battle with Schumacher

Having a 7-time world champion as your teammate is daunting, and Germany’s Nico Rosberg experienced that when Schumacher signed for  Mercedes back in 2010.

Rosberg said, “That was not a good moment. I was all excited, I would be leading this Mercedes team and the name Schumacher wasn’t even on the horizon, nobody was even talking about that.”

“And then suddenly Ross calls me and he says, ‘Oh, by the way, your team mate is not going to be Jenson Button or Nick Heidfeld – it’s going to be Michael Schumacher.”

Michael is a psychological warrior. It was incredible learning for me over those three years. And he doesn’t even have to make an effort it comes naturally to him, to try and psychologically get into the head of his competition. And it would be from the morning to the evening,” Rosberg concluded.

With Schumacher having some iconic races in the history of Formula One, which one is your favorite? Let us know in the comments section down below.
