The preseason testing in Barcelona is officially over for the 2022 season. Although the timing set by the drivers is deceiving, to say the least, the testing gave us an idea of the pecking order for this season. Despite having a slow start to the testing, Haas driver Mick Schumacher finished the testing by completing a decent amount of laps.

During his off time, when he was not driving, fans could see Schumacher checking out other cars on the pit wall. His investigation of other cars drew comparisons of his mentor, Sebastian Vettel. Haas F1 team took to social media to share a video of Mick closely watching several cars in the pitlane. Aston Martin, too, replied to his activities in a cheeky way.

I think he did an incredible job with such a poor car: Vettel on Mick Schumacher

As reported by Formula1.com, the German driver made his debut in the sport last season. Although he did not score any points throughout the season, he impressed everyone, including Sebastian Vettel, with his performances. Haas was consistently the slowest car on the grid, as they decided against developing their car.

“That’s a great effort,” said Vettel.

It will be interesting to see how Schumacher develops in the 2022 season. Mick will be hoping that he can get a more competitive car than the previous season to showcase his skills behind the wheel.
