Mick Schumacher was promoted to Formula 1 after an impressive performance in Formula 2. As they revamped their approach with a young driver lineup, Haas F1 signed the young German along with Nikita Mazepin.

Mick Schumacher comes to Formula 1 with a legacy to live up to. His father, Michael Schumacher, had a golden run with Ferrari, winning six consecutive championships with the Maranello-based outfit. He still holds the record of most championship wins alongside Lewis Hamilton.

Mick Schumacher is also a part of Ferrari’s young drivers’ academy. Given that he has currently joined Haas, David Coulthard stated that the young German could soon replace Charles Leclerc or Carlos Sainz at Ferrari.

He said, “Haas will be a safe place for him to learn.

“In doing so in a couple of years he could earn the opportunity to be with either Ferrari or another team. It all depends on Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.”

As the son of Michael Schumacher, Mick is aware of the hard work and sacrifice that goes into becoming a world champion. The young German has proved himself in Formula 2, but he’ll be in the big leagues next season and all eyes will be on his performance.
