It finally happened! Haas driver Mick Schumacher was finally able to score his first points in F1 at the 2022 British Grand Prix in Silverstone. The German driver finished P8 behind world champion Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.

After the race, the Haas driver revealed that he could have finished ahead of the Dutch driver without the safety car. Verstappen and Schumacher had an impressive battle for seventh, which saw both drivers going wheel to wheel to conclude the race.

The Red Bull driver used some questionable defense against the German while battling for P7. Schumacher also mentioned that the stewards should look into the defense.

“Still definitely something to have a look at because he pushed me off twice there. Maybe there will be some more points in it,” said Schumacher.

In the end, there was no investigation by the stewards into the world champion’s defense against the German driver. Nevertheless, it was thrilling to see Schumacher fighting against the best of the best in Formula One and leaving a Grand Prix with Championship points.

He certainly showed that he has the skills and the capabilities to hold his own against the likes of Verstappen. Hopefully, this was not the last time and served as proof that the Haas driver is here to stay.
