Sebastian Vettel received the Guard of Honor at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Post the Guard of Honor, Sebastian Vettel was interviewed by Karun Chandhok, who asked about a possible F1 comeback. Looks like ever since Vettel left F1, all everyone is asking for is a comeback because we know there’s so much more left in him. Nonetheless, fans were left wishing for a comeback as Vettel shared a “not classified” story. What was this story all about?

Sebastian Vettel is amongst the top drivers ever seen in F1 with 4 championships and 53 wins to his name. The German wasn’t loved by everyone during his initial years as he came out as arrogant during his Red Bull dominance era. However, Vettel turned out to be the nicest and humblest guy on the F1 grid. Just like fans’ love for Vettel, his F1 career also started at a low point.

Ever since Vettel announced his retirement on Instagram by posting the video on his new account, the German has been sharing his life story with moments from the past. The latest sequence includes his first year in F1. The 4X Champion has posted photos from the first 3 races of the 2008 season with the captions. The latest one from Bahrain is what caught our eye.

Sebastian Vettel shared a photo of himself in black and white, wearing Scuderia Toro Rosso overalls. The caption to the post is “Bahrain GP (3rd Race): Not classified. Collision with a Force India in the first lap–“I was forced out after being struck from behind…” (Bahrain International Circuit, Sakhir).” Adrian Sutil was the driver who crashed into Vettel as the German retired from the race.

This would be Vettel’s third consecutive retirement in the first three races of the 2008 season. Fans were left wishing for Sebastian Vettel to come back after watching the post. Let’s see what they had to say.
