What Max Verstappen is doing in Formula 1 today will go down in history as unprecedented. It seems like no record is unbreakable for the Red Bull maestro. And his numbers are just going from strength to strength. This season alone has seen Verstappen not finish lower than 2nd! However, during the Canadian GP weekend, even though Verstappen drove, as usual, to get yet another win under his belt, he did accomplish something really special.

Yesterday, after yet another commanding drive, the Dutch lion stepped onto the top step of the podium at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. That being said, as he crossed the finish line in his RB19, he didn’t win just another race. He reached an epic milestone for his Milton-Keynes-based team.

Verstappen achieves F1 immortality

There’s never been a driver like Ayrton Senna, and there probably never will be. But he will always be the benchmark for any driver who competes in this sport. In a career that got tragically cut short, he amassed a whopping 41 wins.

After the Canadian GP win, Max Verstappen has equaled that record. But he knows the relevance of comparison. He said, “I never really look at the number, people always have different kinds of careers, maybe some drivers, they get into a race-winning car sooner than others, nowadays we have more races than back in the day,” while addressing this achievement.
