Monaco GP: Binotto Very Confident of a 2nd Row Start for Charles Leclerc

Given how impressively Ferrari have seemed to bounce back this season after majorly struggling last year, they seem to be headed towards good things this year. So much so, that team principal, Mattia Binotto, believes that Charles Leclerc could qualify P4 for Sunday’s race in Monaco.

Both their drivers, Carlos Sainz and Leclerc, had an amazing practice session on Thursday. In the first session of the day, Sainz managed to put in the second-fastest lap while the Monegasque struggled and only came 20th.

However, the 23-year-old redeemed himself in the second session of the day, by putting in the fastest lap, as his Spanish teammate followed him with a P2 finish.

Every team in Formula One hopes that both their drivers can deliver on the track on Sunday’s race, and Ferrari are no different. Binotto hopes that his Spanish driver, Sainz can get as close to Leclerc on the streets of Monte Carlo.
