After 6 races of thrilling action, Formula 1 moves to the historic venue in Monaco. Fans are ready to witness the second doubleheader of the season. The Monaco GP always has a special aura about it. The narrow, winding streets and beautiful harbor of Monte Carlo provide an amazing contrast to the speed and sound of Formula 1 cars.
Max Verstappen won last week’s race in Spain and as a result, took the lead in the driver standings. Meanwhile, his championship rival Charles Leclerc had a power unit failure and was forced to retire early in the race. Moreover, the mid-table battle is intensifying as well.

While the weather in Spain was warm and dry, Monaco could see a wet weather race. This certainly adds to the excitement of an already enticing week of racing action. With the race around the corner, it’s time to look at the weather forecast for the weekend.
Will it rain during the Monaco GP?
No trip to the Monaco GP is complete without a bit of sunshine, but there is a chance of rain at the end of the weekend. Friday will see the cars on the track for the first two practice sessions. While the day will remain sunny, there is a 20% chance of rain.
The temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees Celsius. This could, of course, certainly prove to be a tricky session, as the teams will look to collect valuable data.

On to Saturday’s FP3 and qualifying, forecasters predict the weather to be warm throughout the day with some clouds in the afternoon. There is, however, 0% chance of rain, and the temperature will be around 27 degrees Celsius again.
This could prove to be good news for the drivers. They will look to put in a solid lap in qualifying, as overtaking is difficult in the narrow streets of Monaco. Contrary to the weather on Saturday, Sunday’s race is expected to be a wet one. There is a 60% chance of rain and the forecasters expect the temperature to reduce to 22 degrees Celsius.
