“With myself, I don’t, but together we do. We basically just give each other a massive hug and hold it for like 10-15 seconds before we get in the car. It’s become a ritual,” said Daniel. Lando too joined in on the fun and replied, “But every time we do it, my hand just gets lower and lower.”

When they were asked to demonstrate it, Daniel tried to back out of it and replied,” We dug ourselves a hole there.” But the British driver helped him escape the conversation by stating,” We can’t do it now because of COVID.”

Can Daniel Ricciardo get an excellent result in his home race?

Ricciardo has had a pretty dismal time at his home Grand Prix off late. Moreover, he could not finish the last Australian GP, because of his own mistake or unreliability in his car.

But this season he would be hoping that he gets a bit lucky with the competitiveness of the car. McLaren looked more competitive in the 3 practice sessions, with Norris even topping the FP3.

It was even better news for both drivers in the qualifying session as they both finished at the Top-7. Lando will start the race on the second row of the grid while Daniel will start in P7.

A podium could also be a possibility for the British driver if he manages to get a good start and gets a bit lucky. It is indeed a pleasant surprise for the McLaren drivers and hopefully, they can convert it into a good haul of points.
