There is no secret that Lando Norris shares an amazing bromance with his new teammate, Daniel Ricciardo. Even though they don’t look anything alike, a fan at the Turkish Grand Prix had confused Daniel for Lando.

In true Ricciardo fashion, the Australian laughed it off and corrected the fan for his mistake. With the duo having such a great rapport with each other, it is no surprise that the F1 community has mistaken one for the other.

Daniel Ricciardo gets confused for Lando Norris in Istanbul

Fans are eager to meet their favorite drivers, and often call out their names to grab their attention. However, one particular fan in Istanbul shouted Norris, but instead of getting the Brit’s attention, he got Ricciardo’s.

The Australian was walking around with his McLaren colleagues, and couldn’t help but laugh that he was mistaken for Norris. He corrected the energetic fan by saying, “My name’s Daniel.”

Not the first time Ricciardo has been mistaken for someone else

The Formula One community was a big fan of the bromance between Carlos Sainz and Norris. However, it came to an end as Sainz had signed for Ferrari for the 2021 season. But Norris still had a tough time, as he had mistaken his new teammate for Sainz on a video call.

Norris had slip of the tongue but paused before he made the mistake. However, it was too late for Norris, as the fan had pointed out his error. While Norris was embarrassed about his mistake, Ricciardo was laughing and said, “Thier friendship was little more than friendship.”

With a few more races till the end of the season, it won’t be a surprise to see the two McLaren drivers engage in more banter. With them being teammates for 2022 as well, fans can’t wait to see what the Ricciardo-Norris bromance has in store for them.
