The love affair between Lewis Hamilton and America is the talk of the town. Arriving in the States for the Miami GP, the Briton continues to be the face of F1, and no one other than his friend and NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace would be happier to hear his recent statement. Having driven in NASCAR in 2011 after swapping with Tony Stewart, the Mercedes driver has delivered great news for NASCAR fans.

Speaking about his joyous drive, he then said, “I just felt like a kid today. It’s good to be a kid again. It’s like when I used to do go-karting I used to have so much fun,” giving his fans their first glimpse of him in NASCAR. But now, his statement ahead of the Miami GP gives more hope for a future stint, as he, quoted by NBS Sports, said, “I did a car swap with Tony Stewart years ago, which was fun. I’d love to try it at some stage. It’s not a dream for me to go race another series, but I am an admirer. I’m a fan of racing and other sports. So I would like to try it.”

Bubba Wallace and Lewis Hamilton together driving, or even a swap, would be a dream come true for the fans. While Lewis’ plans to join NASCAR remain uncertain, a chord of hope has been struck, which could come true if the series tries hard enough, as was the case with Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button.

Hamilton and Stewart were thrilled to exchange vehicles at Watkins Glen International on a soggy, chilly Tuesday afternoon, where Stewart drove Hamilton’s 2008 championship-winning McLaren Mercedes and Hamilton drove the No. 14 Chevy from NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series.

Tony Stewart commented that the capabilities of cars were amazing. He expressed his concern that his crew chief might feel more stressed during the weekends, as he would want the car to handle like that all the time. He also expressed his belief that achieving such a level of performance may not be possible.
