In the exciting world of motorsport, you never know what path leads where. McLaren is a good example of that with their wings spreading to IndyCar and Formula E. However, recent news gave fans a glimpse of how the McLaren name would look in NASCAR.

The Woking outfit has not fielded a team in the American stock car racing competition so far. However, NASCAR racer Kyle Busch’s new sponsor for his team Richard Childress Racing gave a glimpse of how “McLaren” would look on a car.

According to a report on Reddit, the number 8 Chevy of Busch will get a complete makeover by a Canadian BBQ company. What does that have to do with the McLaren name? Well, the Canadian company is called McLaren Custom Grills. Under this new multi-race partnership and with the makeover, Busch’s car will sport the McLaren name starting from the race in Talladega Superspeedway.

This announcement, however, caught the F1 team in the crossfire. The fans found a reason to mock the F1 team’s state in the current season.

It is the dream of every driver to race in the premier class, even if you’re associated with a different racing series. This is exactly why the American company has a driver development program to promote capable drivers in the Formula series. However, as things stand, no driver would want to become a part of the Papaya team.

McLaren’s struggles are no secret and the team was at the deep end in the opening three races of the season. Both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri are struggling with their cars.
