When everything else fails, there’s always delusion. Lewis Hamilton’s introduction at an event has been termed as delusional by the F1 fans. The introduction initiated a war between the F1 community. The Briton’s supporters have been asked to let go of whatever was said in the introduction. But what was it that the Hamilton fans are clinging to?

Lewis Hamilton was robbed of his 8th world title in the final race of 2021. Lewis was leading the race comfortably with a 10+ second gap to Max Verstappen in P2. However, a late Nicholas Latifi crash meant the safety car had to be deployed closing the gap between Verstappen and Hamilton. A controversial decision was taken by FIA and Micheal Masi, which allowed only the lapped cars between the two contenders to unlap themselves. On top of that, the race was restarted with only 1 lap remaining. This meant it was essentially a 1 Lap shootout, with the Dutchman on fresher tires directly behind the Briton. The inevitable happened as Max overtook Lewis to take his First world title.
