A lot can change in one year. But for Leclerc and Ferrari, their 2022 nightmares seem to have worsened. Charles Leclerc finished second in the championship last year but is nowhere close to Verstappen this year. As for Ferrari, its bad strategies, mechanical, and driver errors that crept in last season seemed to have carried on to 2023. But after Leclerc’s recent rendezvous with a priest, fans hope his fortunes might change and give him the strength to fight his demons.

The Ferrari driver is no commoner in Italy. Charles headed to visit his new karting brand establishment near Monza. In the two-week break before the Austrian GP, he was seen having an unexpected meeting with a priest before going to the circuit.

The Tifosi are backing the priest’s prayers for Charles Leclerc

After a successful weekend in Montreal, the Scuderia will look to continue its momentum going into Austria. Although the result did bring the Tifosi’s hopes up, given Ferrari’s unpredictable form, they know better than to believe it’ll happen every race weekend. Meanwhile, it now seems that Leclerc has turned to religion, although he was not all that religious in the past.

A young Charles, when asked if he believed in God, staunchly answered in negative. He was born a catholic in a religious household in Monaco. While he is known to be spiritual, yet, he wouldn’t go to a church to pray. At 25, Leclerc seemed to have a change of heart.

A fan prayed for his teammate, Carlos Sainz. Carlos Sainz has recently admitted that Ferrari’s performances will continue to fluctuate. With no podium finish registered in Sainz’s name this season so far, fans believe he too could use some prayers. Predicting the upcoming race in Austria, Sainz believed, “I think our pace in Austria will depend a lot also in the characteristics of the circuit. I think our pace varies a lot, depending on that.

We’ve seen places like Monaco or Canada, we are stronger than places with higher speed corners like Barcelona where we struggled a bit more. So I think we will see variations in our competitiveness,” Sainz stated, post his P5 finish at the Canadian GP.

One fan wrote how they think the priest should have prayed for the strategists instead so that Leclerc’s weekend goes well. After all, Ferrari isn’t known for its strategies.

With Ferrari’s good weekend in Canada, will the team capitalize on its momentum and close the gap to Aston Martin and Mercedes in its fight for P2?
