Earlier in the year, Ryan Reynolds and Co. made their second major sporting investment by being a part of a consortium that bought a stake in the Alpine BWT F1 team. The consortium led by Otro Capital bought a quarter of the Alpine F1 team for $218 million. They made the announcement of this partnership in June. Now, Otro Capital has announced a host of A-listers in the consortium.
This is exactly what Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have spent their hard-earned money on. The two NFL stars are part owners of Alpine now and official announcements are pouring in. Mahomes even shared his excitement about this new adventure he will embark on with his friend, as quoted by Sports Business Journal.

Speaking to the media, Mahomes revealed the opportunity to invest with teammate Kelce “was one I couldn’t pass up.” The two-time Super Bowl winner added, “It’s an exciting time for the sport and this is an opportunity to bring our shared values to the world stage.”

Apart from the NFL stars, PGA Tour player Rory McIlroy, British boxer Anthony Joshua, and soccer stars Trent Alexander-Arnold and Juan Mata also join the consortium.

The Enstone-based French team is undergoing a complete managerial overhaul. The team let off their team principal and the sporting director in one go. Soon after, Alpine recognized ex-Ferrari boss, Mattia Binotto, as the perfect replacement. However, as Alpine works out the kinks of signing Mattia Binotto, the French team is also preparing the budget to launch an attack on Ferrari spearheaded by Binotto.
“Neither the head of the department, Enrico Gualtieri, who is very involved in defining next year’s red, nor Wolf Zimmermann, who is the project manager of unit 2026, should be part of the game,” a report suggests. “But there could be important movements around the two pivots of the Cavallino. There is talk of very advantageous economic offers, with significant salary increases, which could push some members of the Scuderia to go to Paris.”
