Formula 1 has become a breeding ground for unexpected crossovers thanks to the sport’s skyrocketing popularity. However, ever since the world’s approval, the crossovers have become more frequent with some taking more interest than others. The NFL star QB-TE pairing of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce works as a great example with the two investing in Alpine. Now the French team is expressing that support back.
Mahomes and Kelce recently became part of the Otro Capital consortium, investing $218 million in Alpine. The Kansas City Chiefs men saw an opening and made a smart decision by putting their hard-earned money into the lucrative world of F1. The investment attracted various sports entities from different disciplines and even a couple of Hollywood celebs. However, little did we know the investors would be hands-on and there would be plenty of back and forth between them and the team.
We already saw one of the investors, Anthony Joshua, help Alpine man Pierre Gasly warm up before a race. Now the French team wished its owners all the best for qualifying for the biggest event of the year. Kansas City Chiefs qualified for the Super Bowl LVIII and the BWT Alpine team wanted to showcase their support. They shared the Chiefs’ celebration tweet with the caption, “Yessss @PatrickMahomes @tkelce 💪. A huge congratulations to our investors for reaching #SuperBowlLVIII. We’re behind you all the way 👊”
