Undoubtedly McLaren’s Lando Norris is one of the best drivers on the Formula One grid. The British driver has stepped up his game this season, as he picked four podiums so far. Hence, seeing the progress he has made this year, 2016 world champion Nico Rosberg feels that Norris can be a world champion as well.
The 21-year-old has taken the world of F1 by surprise. Norris appeared on the podium four times this season, and narrowly missed his first win at the Russian Grand Prix. As it stands, the McLaren driver occupies fifth place in the driver’s standings with 149 points to his name.

Rosberg thinks that Lando Norris had what it takes to be a world champion
Norris is the next generation of talented drivers on the grid. Seeing how he helped McLaren progress this season, Rosberg feels he can be a future world champion.
Talking on his YouTube channel, Rosberg mentions Norris’ heartbreaking race in Russian where he missed the opportunity to grab his first win. Nevertheless, he is impressed by the McLaren driver and said, “I mean he is doing such a phenomenal job, so he shouldn’t really worry. He is going to have a great career, future world champion potential you know so, and his win will come.”

How did Norris perform in Austin for the US Grand Prix?
The 21-year-old driver was starting the race in seventh place was optimistic about getting a good result for his Woking-based team. However, as the race came to an end, Norris found himself in the same position that he started, grabbing six points in the process.
