Red Bull Racing did the impossible and broke a 35-year long-standing record of 12 race wins in a row. However, the record and even the display of sheer brilliance and dominance from Max Verstappen were overshadowed. Overshadowed by the events that followed after a simple podium celebration. Yes, we are talking about that podium celebration from Lando Norris. The Brit’s iconic champagne shower came at the expense of Verstappen’s record-breaking trophy. However, the Dutchman will let Zak Brown and Co. off the hook with the 97-year-old company coming to the rescue.

After the broken trophy became the talk of the paddock, the Dutchman revealed how he plans to make the McLaren CEO pay for it. However, Brown can count his blessings as the trophy is insured, to kill the curiosity of some fans. According to Sándor Mészáros, Herendi Porcelanmanufaktura Zrt., was ready to react.

In fact, as revealed by Mészáros on Twitter, CEO Attila Simon said, “We are ready to react, no worries”. Mr. Attila is sad about the damage caused to the trophy. However, there is a lifetime replacement guarantee by the company.

Now, these handcrafted beautiful trophies take six months to make and cost about $45,000. So even though Verstappen will get a replacement, it will definitely take some time. In fact, the CEO revealed the production of the replacement started on Sunday night.

Verstappen talked about this aspect while poking fun at the broken trophy. He said, “I think people also understand that turning things around at McLaren now and winning at McLaren, means making history in Formula 1.”
