Felipe Massa did contest back then to remove Singapore’s result from the championship. This would’ve made him the champion. However, the FIA had already distributed the prizes and was not ready to make changes until recently, when Bernie Ecclestone mentioned that F1 and FIA had enough proof to investigate the crash gate incident but kept it a secret to protect the sport.

The Brazilian has now taken a step further as the news suggests that he is assembling a team of Lawyers to challenge F1 in court. Furthermore, the report also states that Massa would not be making any further public comments about this incident.
According to racingnews365.com, motorsports.com mentioned, “Massa has now assembled a team of lawyers who are now actively investigating the case in more detail.” Further adding and suggesting that the same report also states that Massa will now no longer be making public statements about the case.
The Former Ferrari driver received backlash from fans as he moves forward with the lawsuit. The F1 community suggests his legal actions as an attempt at winning a free championship after the Brazilian failed to win even a single championship. Let’s see what the fans had to say.
