Max Verstappen is one of the sports’ biggest names right now. The Dutchman ended Lewis Hamilton’s title domination in Abu Dhabi last year. Verstappen is still only 24-year-old and has a huge future ahead of him. Recently, the generally angry young driver showed his humorous side of his.

Is Max Verstappen the GOAT? In a recent interview with the Gazette, Max was asked a series of questions through which the Dutchman calmly navigated. During this interview, Verstappen was also asked, “You beat Hamilton, the most successful driver in history, does that mean you are…?”

To this, the reigning world champion, replied, “Jesus….. (laughs). No, I’m kidding, I’m just Max. A guy who likes to drive racing cars.”

The fans seemed to love this response and were all rooting for the Dutchman in the comments section.

Another fan shared this hilarious meme calling Verstappen his “King”.

The Dutchman has solidified his status as one F1’s greatest names and he’s still young enough to carve out a bigger chunk of history for himself.

However, his title defense is not going to plan so far this season, with Charles Leclerc and Ferrari ruining his party.

Max Verstappen and his 2022 season

Max Verstappen has a mixed start to his 2022 season. He has shown good pace but a series of misfortune has derailed his start. He suffered from a fuel pump issue in the season opener in Bahrain while fighting for the lead and went on to retire. His teammate Sergio Perez met a similar fate in Bahrain and had to retire as well.

The second race in Jeddah saw him steal the race win away from Charles Leclerc. However, the last race in Melbourne was more of the same with another DNF. Verstappen currently sits P6 in the drivers’ standings with the 25 points that he bagged in Jeddah.
