Over two months have passed since the controversial Abu Dhabi GP but it remains to be a hot topic among F1 enthusiasts. The safety car disarray denied Lewis Hamilton his record eighth title, helping Max Verstappen win his maiden championship. This started a protest against the FIA led by the Mercedes team forcing the top body to launch a detailed review into the matter.
In the latest update, The F1 commission met on Monday in London to discuss the recommendations from the topmost body in the wake of the Abu Dhabi review. Red Bull boss Christian Horner and his Mercedes counterpart Toto Wolff also attended this close-quarter meeting.
After the discussion, the topmost body released a press statement. However, fans didn’t receive it well. It was for one simple season that the statement talked little about the Abu Dhabi controversy. The statement made big revelations, including the schedules and points system of sprint races in 2022. But there was hardly any concrete substance on the structural changes FIA is planning to corporate in 2022.

F1 fans upset with FIA over avoiding Abu Dhabi in the latest statement
“The FIA President led detailed discussions of the 2021 FIA Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Feedback from the Commission on matters raised will be incorporated into the President’s analysis and he will publicly present news of structural changes and action plan in the coming days,” read a portion of the FIA statement. However, this isn’t what fans were expecting after this high-profile meeting.
Fans were openly critical towards the topmost body for missing out on further details. Ultimately, this became another Lewis Hamilton vs Max Verstappen moment for the fans. Let’s take a look at some of these reactions.
Well that's cleared everything up then and put fans minds at rest so we can start looking forward to the new season. Oh, wait a minute …😖😩😣😬🤬 https://t.co/bvEDjuOMvR

Where exactly have I been challenging the result??
All it needs is an apology for such a confusing final race where rules seemed to be applied at random and news that Masi has got a different job this year! Then we can all move on …— Tiff Needell (@tiff_tv) February 14, 2022
Come on Tiff. You've been around the block a few times. Do you really expect anything from the FIA, following their investigation on … themselves? 🙂

@johnnyherbertf1 has also been telling the truth in fairness.

It is as though they have employed the best PR consultant on the planet to handle their crisis. Then totally ignored them!!
Or perhaps they haven't even realised yet that they are in crisis

F1 is a business Tiff
As long as they have their viewership they don’t care about ethics or what the fans say
If they insist on debasing their own championship, best thing we can do is give our attention to better run Motorsports like MotoGP, WRC, and WEC
More fun, less BS 👍

They’re definitely leaving it so late that everyone is then talking about the new season and hopefully forgets what’s happened. Well I certainly won’t
