Oliver Bearman, the youngest Ferrari F1 driver has made headlines after the Jeddah Grand Prix. The young driver jumped into an F1 car with less than 2 hours’ notice and picked up from FP3 to coming P7 in the race. He was just about to start at pole in F2, but Bearman got a calling that would change everything for him. However, the main question is, will we see Oliver Bearman on the grid next year?

Joe Saward, a British F1 Journalist took to his blog to share an interesting detail about a deal that is rumored to be going on between Ferrari and Haas. The deal includes a place for Oliver Bearman on the grid until he is ready, and to do so, the Prancing Horses will have to keep their end of the deal.

The word around the paddocks is that the Haas F1 Team is interested in Bearman, potentially alongside Hulkenberg for the 2025 season. According to F1 Pundit, Joe Saward’s blog, Ferrari’s interest in nurturing young talent like Bearman aligns with their strategy of grooming future replacements for top-tier drivers like Lewis Hamilton. But Haas would be more interested in the deal if Ferrari offered some discounts on the engine to give their driver more track experience.

Oliver Bearman is one of the most hyped names in the junior community and beating Lewis Hamilton in his first race shows how talented the young driver is. The youngest recruit for Ferrari has no place in the team until what we assume is 2028, but hopefully, by then, he will be ready for a permanent seat in a Ferrari. This is the second year in a row that he has gotten in the cockpit of a single-seater and, both times, he has shown that he is the next big talent on the grid.

Many fans are waiting to see his debut and with him in Haas, there is a good chance that he can test his skills with a midfielding car. Although Haas finished last in 2023, the team has shown promise in the past and might hit its prime any minute now. Maybe a young driver is what the team needs to push itself forward. This temporary team is a route that Charles Leclerc took when he spent time in Sauber for the seat to get free.

That being said, there is hope for us to see Bearman on the grid in 2025 and with that, a new age of Formula One will begin. But that brings the question, which driver will get replaced in the crossfire?

Who will be thrown off the grid in 2025?

Daniel Ricciardo sadly might be the victim of the progressing times. The driver who started his career as one of the contenders for the world champion had it all go away because of one risky move. The Australian driver was driving alongside Max Verstappen and after a spat with the defending champion, he moved to Renault.

Renault was probably the worst decision he made. Ever since he went to that team, nothing went right for him. Starting from his first race, where he had to retire due to issues with the car, to when he transferred to McLaren and got fired mid-year. But now that he was taken back by Red Bull, he is still not performing. The driver seems to have lost his mojo, but now he is given his last chance to prove himself in the next two races.

If he fails to impress, it will be very difficult for him to find a seat with Oliver Bearman, Liam Lawson, and Mick Schumacher waiting for their turn. Many new drivers have proved themselves and Ricciardo is at the end of the line. Hopefully, he will pull up his socks and show VCARB that he is worthy of being on the team. With a Red Bull promotion being his main goal, he is struggling to hold on, as a new talent from the Red Bull junior team is about to step up for the Japanese GP FP1.

Currently, there are just too many drivers that are hungry for F1 action and with Ricciardo not showing any promise, it might be time for him to retire from the sport. There have been rumors of him going to NASCAR, but that is all talk so far. With the way things are progressing, do you think he will be the one that needs to go next year to give an opening for Oliver Bearman? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
