When Oscar Piastri won the F2 title, he, like many other motorists, might have fantasized about racing at the highest levels of motorsports. Although he got the chance, his rookie season didn’t start off as he hoped. However, his recent performances, especially at the iconic Spa Francorchamps, have made the entire F1 community fall in love with his driving prowess. The Australian’s sensational driving pleased a lot of experts and analysts, though Red Bull Boss Christian Horner was especially surprised by the Melbourne driver’s performance at Spa. Now that Oscar Piastri became aware of these rumors, he looks to be flattered by them.

At Spa Francorchamps, Piastri not only finished on the podium but also briefly held the lead before Max Verstappen overtook him. At the F1 circuit, the 22-year-old rookie exhibited a fearless quality that the formidable Red Bull has long appreciated having on their side. For instance, Sebastian Vettel, Daniel Ricciardo, and the current dominant Max Verstappen are drivers who have been a part of the side showing some real battle up front.

Many people appeared to have been pleased by the Melburnian’s performance at Spa Francorchamps, including double champion Verstappen, who praised one of the unique qualities that distinguish Piastri from other drivers. However, Christian Horner, who had before expressed regret for not having such a skilled driver by his side, also gave the rookie a high rating in his remarks made after the sprint, quoting, “Very strong drive again by Oscar Piastri again.”

Additionally, a former team boss Eddie Jordan recently made the suggestion that Piastri would join Max Verstappen soon. And amidst these rumors, Piastri appears to be flattered, as the 22-year-old is quoted as saying by the Mirror, “It’s flattering to have those comments.”

However, Piastri has complete faith in McLaren and while showing his loyalty, the rookie said, “I’m very happy where I am But yeah, it’s always nice to be talked about in those kinds of ways. I think my season’s been quite good for the most part.”

Given that Christian Horner just threatened Checo and that Sergio Perez’s contract expires in 2024, it appears that a place in the Red Bull paddock may soon become vacant. Additionally, given Red Bull’s preference for hiring fresh blood and taking the performance, Piastri might be the best fit.

Oscar Piastri might be a fantastic fit for Red Bull  thanks to the team’s prophecy

Performance has always been Red Bull’s first priority. They have further demonstrated this philosophy with their recent audacious decision to terminate Nyck de Vries. However, given that Christian Horner has already expressed his regret on losing the services of Piastri’s can Red Bull link him up with Max Verstappen soon?

Verstappen has earlier noted Piastri’s unique characteristics, which make him stand out from the other drivers on the grid. Being relatively error-free persisted as a characteristic. And now Piastri has the support of Max Verstappen and Christian Horner’s eyes on him amidst which Eddie Jordan, a well-known F1 expert, claimed that Piastri is a fantastic fit for Red Bull since his performance at the spa “actually blew” him away.

While having a chat with Talk Sport Jordon said, “I think there is big star quality in there, I’m actually blown away with this young kid, so he’d be one of the drivers I’d be looking at to challenge Max in the future. Do not be surprised if there’s a seat available at Red Bull, of course where Mark[Webber] used to be, don’t be surprised if he is named in front of the public eye in the future.”
