The DP World Tour is on and Brooks Koepka is leading the likes of Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, and Phil Mickelson. The craze for golf, however, isn’t restricted to the men participating in the $15 million purse competition. McLaren spearhead Zak Brown and senior driver Lando Norris are quite the fans of the grassy course as well. The duo recently took a day off and teed off a few. However, the team boss has endured some severe criticism since the start of the brand-new season and that continued when he posted a picture from their outing.

Playing golf is one of Lando’s favorite pastimes. He often practices his putting skills in the paddocks before the start of a session or a race. Norris recently went out for some long-range shots as well with grid competitor and fellow Briton, Lewis Hamilton. The duo was there with Hamilton’s uncle and played until dawn. That is at least what the photos and the video Lewis posted suggest.

Zak Brown bears the brunt of fans’ anger despite a day off with Lando Norris

McLaren, even before the start of the season, was struggling to keep up with their targets. Resultantly, the car they sported for the first three races wasn’t the final product. That showed in the results as Norris, for the first time in his career, finished lower than 15, not once, but twice in a row (P17 in Bahrain and Jeddah). The undesirable results saw the Papaya Army make the team CEO the scapegoat, demanding his resignation on multiple occasions.

The anger continued to flow as Zak recently posted a picture from a golf course with Norris and his friend Max Fewtrell. Max is a former racer himself and often features in the McLaren star’s Twitch streams. He is also currently a part of Lando’s venture, Quadrant.

Zak sported an Augusta Masters branded polo shirt. That, for some reason, became a subject of trolling as well.
