The 2021 Formula One season was the most exciting season that we have had in recent years. While the headline action was at the top, in the middle of the table, AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly had a consistent season on the circuit and enjoyed all the races that the F1 calendar had to offer. For next year, he is looking forward to more battles with rivals such as McLaren and Ferrari.

According to the AlphaTauri driver, fighting against Ferrari and McLaren had been the most thrilling aspect of the season. He went on to say that he intends to battle them again next year.

As quoted from Autosport, Gasly said, “As an entire season, 22 races, I must say I enjoyed all 22. Coming into a race weekend knowing you’re going to be fighting for points, you’re going to fight with Ferraris and McLarens, is just a different kind of excitement.”

How did Gasly perform in 2021?

The AlphaTauri driver certainly enjoyed his 2021 season, terming it his most “consistent” season to date. However, he only managed to get one podium finish, which he achieved at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, besides nine top six finishes. As the 2021 season came to an end, Gasly had bagged 110 points, which resulted in him occupying a ninth-place finish in the driver’s championship.
