The 2022 season was fraught with controversies when it came to the drivers’ market. Amongst the teams involved in the commotion were AlphaTauri and Alpine, with Pierre Gasly the driver in contention.

AlphaTauri started the last season with Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda as their two drivers. While Gasly had proven his mettle, previously having raced for the main Red Bull team, Tsunoda was a rookie still learning the ropes.

Fast forward to today, Gasly was on the lookout for a better team for some time, and a spot opened for the Frenchman when Fernando Alonso announced his move to Aston Martin. Alonso, racing for Alpine, would be replacing the outgoing Sebastian Vettel.

Pierre has now taken the chance to move. He looks set to join the French team, who has another French driver on their roster in Esteban Ocon.

The relationship between the two French drivers has come under a lot of discussions ever since Gasly’s move became a possibility. The two used to be childhood friends, but they arguably grew apart as they started competing against each other in F1.

Regardless, it is not the relationship between the two French drivers that is in news. It is the adorable friendship of the current AlphaTauri drivers that is being discussed.

The two recently did a fun karaoke session prior to the Japanese GP, which was loved by fans. It is visible that the two have struck up a very good friendship over their 2 years together on the Italian team.

Gasly’s move to Alpine is announced. When he does move to the team, he will miss his friendship with his Japanese partner for sure.

The karaoke session singing Adele’s songs might be one of the last few happy memories Gasly has with Yuki as a teammate for a little while now, as he heads on to the Alpine F1 Team.

In an interview, he was asked about his relationship with the Japanese and said, “We are good friends and have a good relationship.” [Translated using Google]

“We both love those jokes. Adele’s song is so romantic, so it was a good song to sing along with. We just had fun and we don’t know what’s next year yet. But no matter what happens, I have a good relationship with Yuki, and I don’t think our relationship will change. ”

Fans absolutely love the warmth between the two young drivers.

A pairing of Ocon and Gasly seems useful on paper, but the chemistry between teammates is integral to a team’s success. The two Frenchmen, Gasly and Ocon, might have to work on their interpersonal relations if they intend to bring success to Alpine.
