Ferrari F1 team’s latest duo, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, are certainly proving to be one of the best teammates the Reds have witnessed in decades. Not only do they respect each other on the track, but they also engage in rather hilarious banters.

One such banter took place during Ferrari’s E-Sports blindfold challenge on a simulator. Leclerc was busy racing on an Italian circuit while wearing blindfolds. The task was to bring his Ferrari FXX-K home without actually looking at the screen while an instructor guided him through the lap. But, how did he fair in this rather bizarre task?

Well, unsurprisingly, it was absolute chaos, as Leclerc had no clue whatsoever about where he was going. However, the task became even more interesting when Sainz showed up at the scene while the Monegasque found himself spending his time driving on the gravel rather than the tarmac.

Watching his teammate having a hard time keeping the car on the track, Sainz couldn’t resist but take frequent digs at Leclerc.

Banter between Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc during Ferrari challenge

Leclerc’s task was to complete a lap around Imola while being blindfolded. How hard was it? Well, all Leclerc had to say throughout the lap was pretty much how difficult it was to keep the car on the track. Going into the first turn, Leclerc said, “Mate, this is so difficult“.

The instructor kept asking Leclerc to “Go right“, but he never did. Hence, soon, Sainz arrived into the frame, and screamed into the Monegasque’s ears, “Keep going right“. And yet again, Leclerc, replied, “Mate, this is so difficult“.

Leclerc continued to hit the barriers on either side of the track until Sainz had to give out his verdict on his teammate. He hilariously demanded Ferrari retire Leclerc from the team.

Please retire this guy. He’s useless,” Sainz said. Soon, for the third time, Leclerc reiterated how difficult the challenge was: “Mate, this is incredibly difficult.”

Overall, It was undeniably quite fun to watch the duo enjoying each other’s company. And it looks like their bromance could well continue for another couple of years at least. But, let’s hear it from you – Do you think Leclerc and Sainz are the best teammates on the current F1 grid?
