The inaugural F1 Miami Grand Prix attracted a lot of celebrities and fans, but some missed out as well. One fan who missed out is a former One Direction singer. Niall Horan took to Twitter to share his regret over missing the opportunity. The Irish singer is a fan of the sport and also Lewis.

With zero excuses for why he did not attend the Grand Prix in Miami, Niall still shared his remorse on Twitter with his massive 41.3 million followers. After the dismantling of the One Direction band, Niall started practicing his trade as a solo singer and signed a deal with Capitol Records. The Irish singer, however, kept up with the entire race as well as replied to his fans on Twitter.

The singer shared a tweet before the race began in Miami saying, “Wish I’d gone to Miami for the @F1. As a fan, this event looks incredible.@SkySportsF1 🏁🏎” and when a fan questioned his absence he replied, “I have 0 excuse”.

“Rooting for Max Verstappen?” is the next Tweet Niall replied to with, “Just want a good race. Obviously always rooting for lewis but if not … I like max, Charles, checo or sainz.”

He even gave us a glimpse of his F1 acumen when a fan asked for podium predictions. Liam replied, “Looks like it’s gona be as it stands now. Verstappen, leclerc and sainz .. that’s if nothing serious happens.”

Even though he would’ve wanted Lewis up there, the Irishman correctly predicted the top three. Max, Leclerc, and Sainz, in that order.

Safety helmets on for the F1 Miami Grand Prix

The race at the Miami Grand Prix extended on the free practice sessions and the qualifying incidents. During the race, the crash between Mclaren’s Lando Norris and AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly forced the safety car intervention.

However, the incident made the race more interesting as Max Verstappen had to see off the threat of Charles Leclerc with just ten laps remaining. But the Red Bull man got his car over the finish line first as the two Ferrari drivers followed. This is exactly in line with the spins and incidents we witnessed all weekend.

The Miami track is new and needs some work, especially with the grip outside the racing line. This is a major change that the Miami track will need to make the racing more competitive and, hopefully, less inviting to incidents in the future.
