Popular YouTuber Hilariously Slams Masi Likening Poor SuperBowl Fouls to Hamilton-Verstappen Abu Dhabi f1 Debacle

The 2021 Formula One season witnessed one of the most controversial races of all time; It was the season finale in Abu Dhabi and Lewis Hamilton had his record eighth championship title almost guaranteed with his only threat, Max Verstappen falling back amid lack of pace. However, a twist then spurred out of nowhere.
Nicholas Latifi’s crash, subsequent safety car period, and a couple of rushed calls from the stewards led to a messy end to the race. Quite shockingly, Hamilton lost his championship to the Flying Dutchman on the final lap which unsurprisingly triggered massive controversy.
Well, the latest to join the debate is comedian, Noel Miller. The famous YouTuber seems to be well aware of how F1 works and offered his point of view on the Abu Dhabi GP incident.

He further compared Michael Masi’s horrendous Abu Dhabi GP call to the latest Super Bowl incident where it almost looked like the officiating crew gifted the Rams the victory while the Bengals were left behind feeling cheated. Tee Higgins and Jalen Ramsey found themselves involved in a foul play which the refs hardly noticed.
And that was not it! There were more such mistakes from the refereeing side with the officials calling fouls for petty incidents and unbothered about any actual fouls. “Michael Masi calling in these fouls,” Miller reacted on Twitter following the poor refereeing on Sunday.
What did the Canadian say?
During a podcast, Miller opined that the stewards were too careless right when the entire racing fraternity needed them at their best.
“One lap left of racing and Max has brand new tires. So, of course, he’s gonna smoke Lewis and he fu*king takes the win and he takes the world championship despite not having led the race for 51 and a half laps,” he said.

“So, the whole thing felt like it’s the season that had so many points of controversy and it comes down to this moment where it feels like the refs just kind of looked around and go, ‘Yeah, just…’
The host then joined in to help Miller finish off his sentence. “Just give it to Red Bull,” he said.
Huge insult to Lewis Hamilton
Miller further slammed the fans who heaved a sigh of relief that Michael Schumacher‘s record remained unbroken.

“What added insult to injury is, you know, Lewis is like the first really successful black Formula One driver ever. And that’s why he is such a special guy in a field that is dominated by ‘other people’,” he said.
“What was really kind of gross was how many people came out and were like, ‘I’m really glad Michael Schumacher’s record wasn’t broken.’ Like that’s what they took from the whole thing. It’s like, ugh, that’s what you got from that? You didn’t want Lewis to have it. Why not? It’s pretty crazy if he does, right?”

Overall, Miller is certainly on Team Lewis with respect to the 2021 title debate. Although he did not mention anything about Verstappen not deserving the title, he sounds convinced that the unfair and biased play by the stewards led to the seven-time world champion’s awry loss.
