The F1 calendar for 2020 suffered a lot of changes as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new calendar had a couple of novel tracks, one of which is the Portuguese Circuit of Portimao.
Autodromo Internacional do Algarve, colloquially known as Portimao, was built in 2008. The circuit had been there for long; however, it got its state-of-the-art upgrade in 2008.

Portimao may be a milestone in architectural engineering considering how the entire circuit upgrade took about 7 months. However, the numbers accounted for €190 million.

The circuit promises some interesting stories at Turn 3 that leads to the hairpin and another similar one at Turn 13. However, the apex at Turn 11 and Turn 12 is equally testing.
