Post Malone recently sold his Bugatti Chiron which he bought for $3,000,000. The car is speculated to be sold for 3,500,000. Looks like Post Malone used a heavy chunk of that money for a $2,600,000 trade. This trade caused Lewis Hamilton to take a nosedive in the expensive list. But what was this trade that Post Malone had to spend $2.6 Million on and how did it affect Hamilton in the list?
Trading of cards has become a huge thing in recent years with people bidding Millions for the rarest of the cards. Every now and then the trading card companies will release a special 1/1 card that will fetch hundreds of thousands of dollars. The same happened this time around when Magic: The Gathering [MTG] released the Lord of The Ring collection in June which had a 1/1 One Ring card from the movie.
Most expensive card by category:
1. Baseball ($12.6M, Mantle)
2. Pokémon ($5.275M, Pikachu)
3. Basketball ($5.2M, LeBron)
4. Football ($4.3M, Mahomes)
5. Hockey ($3.75M, Gretzky)
6. Magic ($2.6M, The One Ring) ⬆️
7. Soccer ($1.3M, Péle) ⬇️

The card was recently found in Canada and was valued at around $2 Million which would’ve made it the most expensive Magic Category card. The Black Lotus card from MTG released in 1993 was the most valuable magic card at $615,000 until this one ring was sold. Post Malone happened to be the lucky one who bought the card which was supposedly sold at $2.6 Million taking Magic categories up to rank 6 in the most expensive card category.
As a result, the Formula 1 category had to take a nosedive which sat at the 7th position prior to this trade. It is Lewis Hamilton’s 1/1 Superfactor card found in the Standard 2020 Topps Chrome F1 pack. The card started the auction at $750,000 and was sold for $900,000. It had an image of Lewis Hamilton with the racing suit and also had his signature on it. The 1/1 status along with his signature made it special.
As a result of the MTG card being bought by Post Malone, Lewis Hamilton’s card and the F1 category took a hit in the category standing as Magic jumped from 8th to 6th and F1 fell from 7th to 8th. Nonetheless, Lewis Hamilton’s card did help a family out.
