Racing Point, soon to be called Aston Martin, will be looking forward to the next season when the 4-time World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, will set his foot into the team.
According to Marca, the Stroll-owned outfit is planning on bringing the German into the team before 2021. However, in order to carry out that move, Racing Point will need to have a negotiation with Ferrari.
Apparently, Vettel will remain a Ferrari driver until December 31st of 2020. Hence, Racing Point’s hope of bringing in Vettel by December 14 stays in Ferrari’s hands. Otmar Szafnauer, Racing Point’s Team Principal, too, spoke about the same.

“Until January, Vettel has a contract with his team,” he said. “We have not yet asked Ferrari if Sebastian can be released ahead of time to start working with us.”
By the looks of it, Ferrari might not stand against the earlier than intended union of Racing Point and Vettel. The team will need nothing from the German following the end of this season.
Moreover, similar to Racing Point, Ferrari will also be hoping to see Carlos Sainz in their team before his contract terminates with McLaren. Hence, the chances of Ferrari denying Racing Point’s offer are very slim.
Otmar hopes that Sebastian Vettel can help Racing Point increase their competitiveness
Otmar Szafnauer revealed his expectations from Sebastian Vettel following his entry into Racing Point. “Our hope is that Vettel will teach us how to win four titles, as he has already achieved in his sporting career,” he said.
Racing Point and Vettel will definitely make a great pair. This is because Racing Point are a team that are looking to lift themselves from the mid-field.
