I am very purist: Christian Horner on Sprint races

As reported by Formula Passion, Christian believes the Sprint races format was not perfect last year. F1 is planning to host 6 Sprint races in the 2022 season, and the Red Bull boss believes there are still some adjustments to be made to the format.

I am very purist. and I think that qualifying and the race are the fundamental aspects of a Grand Prix. I think the sprint races were interesting last year, even if I think the format was not perfect. But if you don’t feel something, you can’t know what it is like,” said Horner.

The Red Bull team boss is correct in mentioning that the format needs reviewing.  The sport also needs to look at the points system in the Sprint races so that it does not hamper the significance of the qualifying and main race.
