Christian Horner thinks the 2021 season finale was the biggest sporting event
As reported by Autosport, the Red Bull team boss mentioned that no Hollywood scriptwriter could have written drama like the last lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The intense season also brought in new fans from all around the world. The interest was off the charts, as this was the closest championship fight since 1974.
“I think it was 47 years ago that this championship last went to a race where drivers were tied on points. I don’t think even a Hollywood scriptwriter could have come up with the ins and outs of this year,” Horner said.
