Max Verstappen is having a rough season, facing two retirements in the three races this season so far. So, the reigning champion got frustrated and asked for 45 GP this season to defend his title. But the Red Bull advisor shuts Verstappen’s complaints and instead reveals the Milton Keynes base is working to prevent any more DNFs.

The F1 team is suffering from reliability issues with their frozen Honda engines. This is not only affecting the Milton Keynes base but also their ace driver Verstappen to defend his champion title. The two retirements cost Max a lot of points, and he is currently ranking P6. So, Red Bull is working with the Japanese manufacturer to get rid of the unreliability issues with the car.

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko reported, “The two defects we had were of different nature. Together with our engine partner, we are working tirelessly to prevent this from happening again. But basically, two failures in three races are an absolute no-go!”

Red Bull and Porsche are a “perfect match”

The Austrian F1 team will rely on the frozen Honda Engines until the end of 2025. FIA will announce new rules in 2026 and there is the possibility of seeing new engine manufacturers joining the list. On that list, Porsche and Audi are the prime candidates to join F1.

Recently, there are a lot of rumors about Porsche joining hands with Red Bull. The German manufacturer would supply power units to the Austrian F1 team. As they won’t be able to use frozen Honda engines anymore.

Further, former Austrian driver Gerhard Berger is excited to know about this collaboration. So, he is hoping to see this in the future and states, “Red Bull and Porsche are a good fit. Or should I say: they will fit well together. I have a strong feeling that it will happen.”

But for now, the Milton Keynes-based team has to make work with the Red Bull Power Train and soon needs to resolve the reliability issues.
