Dating is always a touchy topic in the Formula 1 circle because of the public nature of the drivers’ lives. This is exactly why when Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet confirmed their relationship in 2020, it became a huge topic of discussion. However, there is one section of Formula 1 that does not take part in these discussions. A statement from the past confirms that.

This section we are talking about is the top management of every team or the team bosses. In Verstappen’s case, that would be the Red Bull bosses. The Red Bull bosses did not make a statement concerning Verstappen’s relationship. However, they made the statement when Kelly Piquet was dating a former AlphaTauri driver.

We are all aware that before Verstappen, the Brazilian model was dating Daniil Kvyat. Piquet made the relationship official with an Instagram post back in January 2017. The two even became parents to a daughter named Penelope on July 27, 2019. Kvyat even secured a shock podium finish around that time, which made Red Bull boss Christian Horner make a hilarious comment.

However, the new parents split soon after, which could’ve been a difficult transition for Kvyat. However, as quoted by Sportsmole Red Bull’s Helmut Marko revealed, the team will stay away from personal matters. He said, “It’s not a good thing, but Daniil seems balanced. Therefore, we do not want to interfere, because private matters should remain private.”

The proud girlfriend boasted her partner’s achievements on her Instagram story with the incredible numbers Verstappen achieved in 2022. She shared a story with the photo of the display screen with Verstappen’s photo on it with the caption, “What a season, 15 wins, 7 poles, 35 wins total, and he’s not gone yet.”
