We’re lighter, we’re faster, and if that don’t work, we’re nastier.” It has become a pop-culture trend in the motorsport community to quote iconic moments from the movie Ford vs. Ferrari. Apparently, this may also be the case with Red Bull employees 3 years down the line. With Ford returning to F1, after a 2-decade hiatus, many fans are already excited about the future prospects. While it is a strategic partnership with Red Bull Racing, some fans’ imaginations are running wild about a resumption of the Ford vs Ferrari rivalry.

Ever since the Milton Keynes team announced its partnership with Ford, people have edited some scenes and posters of the 2019 film. A user posted an edited reel on Instagram that involves American Megastars Christian Bale and Matt Damon.

This reel features several iconic scenes from the movie. Although, the main scene shows Bale’s Ken Miles speaking to Damon’s Carroll Shelby about Ford building a car to beat Ferrari. The reel beautifully showcases the montage of the Detroit-based company’s 1966 Le Mans triumph.

Ford had partnered with Shelby American to build their endurance racing car for winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans. While the duo faltered in 1965, they succeeded the following year. It was the victory of ’66 that the movie followed mainly.

One such edited poster of the movie portrays Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc walking like Bale and Damon, respectively. It is amazing to see how many fans are anticipating that F1 in 2026 may see Ford competing with Ferrari again.

Fans commenting on this reel are expecting that Red Bull-Ford may also be in a similar situation in 2026. Just imagine, 6 decades after the famous Le Mans rivalry clashes, Ford clashing against Ferrari in Formula 1!

Fans fantasize about a Ford Vs Ferrari sequel in F1 as Red Bull gear up for 2026

The groundwork for these fantasies also looks great so far. Red Bull’s recent rise to the top is perfect for the Detroit-based manufacturer. Besides, the Scuderia is also gaining good ground to sustain at the sharp end of the grid. So, fans would get their imaginations realized 3 years later.

“Redbull enters the chat xD

Redbull in 2026

Red Bull rn😂

Redbull contracted ford to make Engines for their f1 team competing with Ferrari

Red bull in 3 years”

It may not turn out true as we never know who slips up in F1. RBR may be the champions right now. But, 2026 brings a new set of engine regulations. Therefore, if Ford and Red Bull cannot make a good power unit, they may not be fighting at the top.

Naturally, there is a risk, as the American brand will make F1 engines after more than 2 decades and the Milton Keynes is new to the entire engine development arena.

“Ford vs Ferrari 2 coming in 2026

2026 formula one season be like

with red bull ford”

On the other hand, even Ferrari is not certain of maintaining their competitiveness. Unlike at Le Mans in the 60s, the Scuderia has been on a roller coaster of performance in F1 for several decades.

They may dominate at the top for a few years and then slip down in the midfield. So, we never know if either Ferrari or RBR can both stay to provide the iconic Ford vs. Ferrari rivalry to fans in 3 years’ time.
