Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has joined the referees’ training program. The Brit will officially start the training program in February after he was initially warned in November.

Horner had previously blamed an official at the Qatar GP weekend for incorrectly waving the yellow flag in qualifying. The yellow flag incident meant that Red Bull driver Max Verstappen had a five-place grid penalty in the race. The FIA warned Horner and offered him to join the referees training program.

The Red Bull team boss explained he had reacted under the pressure of the situation and the circumstances.
