Taking a jab at other F1 teams and drivers has been a part of the sport since it has existed. In the current scenario, Red Bulls are the ones who are at the top of this game, taking every opportunity to slam Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton, and Toto Wolff. But Charles Leclerc? No, Max Verstappen wouldn’t do that to his buddy, would he? Well, he just did as Christian Horner and Co. helped the Dutchman make fun of the Monegasque’s infamous “Inchident” quote. Let’s see how.

Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc have grown up racing in different Formula series together and have competed on track since they were kids. In a recent interview, Max Verstappen highlighted that the duo did not have the best relationship when they were kids but now it’s all good and that they share a great bond. But why wasn’t the bond that good earlier? One incident, or shall we say “Inchident” which comes to mind is what happened in karting.

During the Go Kart days, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc fought with the Dutchman leading and the Monegasque behind him. Leclerc in an interview claimed that on that day, he was the faster driver but Verstappen wouldn’t let him overtake whatsoever. So at the end of the race, Leclerc allegedly pushed the 3X champ off track. While Max Verstappen was furious after the race, when the Ferrari driver was asked about the same, he calmly replied, “Nothing, just an inchident”, and that pronunciation of the word incident became a meme and has stuck with Leclerc ever since.

It was this “inchident” interview and clips that Max Verstappen and Red Bull decided to make fun of. Verstappen took the social media challenge of completing the sentences and the “inchident” in question was the scenario explained above. The Dutchman had to choose between the two options given to complete the answer. And guess what, Verstappen remembered all of them correctly and scored 100%, and that too in just 18 seconds.

Seems like the “Inchident” meme will never leave Leclerc. Unfortunately for the Monegasque, Verstappen seems to be on a roll and has been using the word “Inchident” a lot, the most recent one was about a week ago.

Max Verstappen hilariously slams Charles Leclerc for past crimes during a Live Stream

Prior to the Miami GP, Max Verstappen was super active on Twitch as he live-streamed with Team Redline. A lot of amazing content came out of those streams including the Dutchman showing us his cat-themed phone case. However, Verstappen while Sim racing, did not miss the chance to remind Leclerc of the Inchident moment and played along with the meme.

As the Red Bull driver was racing on what seemed to be iRacing, a crash happened just behind him. Verstappen grabbed the opportunity and said, “Oh there’s an Inchident behind, what happened? An Inchident”. And this wasn’t the only time he used it during the race. Usually, Verstappen is pretty serious about Sim Racing but that day he seemed to be in a pretty jovial mood.
