Always expect the unexpected in F1
The weekend at Imola at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix was a fun one. The rain caused massive disruptions in all planning. And while Ferrari came off worse at their home, Grand Prix. Red Bull enjoyed the spoils. A Red Bull 1-2 finish for Max and Sergio Perez and for the first time since the Malaysian Grand Prix back in 2016, featuring Daniel Ricciardo.
After a tough start to the season with reliability issues, Red Bull is looking promising again. And they might want to repeat this feat at the coming Miami Grand Prix. Especially after the recent admission by the Ferrari team Principal Mattia Binotto. He said, “We will work on preventing porpoising and adapting our aerodynamics package for the Miami track, which requires less downforce. The larger upgrade will follow a little later [in Barcelona].”

Charles Leclerc has been brilliant so far. However, his mistake caused him dearly in the race. But the real problem was Carlos Sainz’s first lap retirement, again! This was his second in as many races. And that is something Ferrari needs to change and gather maximum points from coming races. There won’t be any substantial changes before the Spanish Grand Prix. Therefore, the pair need to make do with what they have at Miami GP.
Two-legged race
This F1 season might turn out into a two-legged race as Mercedes is struggling. Without the threat from the silver arrows and their star driver Lewis Hamilton, who finished the race at P13. Ferrari and Red Bull, look the most likely.
