Reigning champions, Red Bull, have not been enjoying their time in glory as the F1 Budget Cost Cap issue takes precedence. Ever since the allegations arose, Red Bull has been under the watch of the FIA. Notably, post a thorough investigation, Red Bull was indeed found guilty. Not to mention, throughout the whole period, Red Bull faced pretty intense backlash.
Due to the ‘minor breach’, the FIA slammed a £6m fine and a 10 percent reduction in wind tunnel time for the next entire year. Since Red Bull exceeded their budget last season, most believe that the team had a dominant car that they could afford to upgrade from time to time. This gave them an undue advantage over the rest, therefore negating their wins in recent times.

Even Sky sports commentator, Ted Kravitz, had recently accused Red Bull’s golden boy, Max Verstappen, of ‘robbing’ Lewis Hamilton of his 8th F1 win. This resulted in Red Bull boycotting the said channel.
When a recent column on ‘The Times’ described the Red Bull bossman, Christian Horner, as ‘delusional’, ‘graceless under pressure’, and ‘a loser’ in response to a statement that Horner had made earlier regarding the negative comments, Horner explained that the negative media coverage and comments were affecting the team’s mental health and therefore, it’s morale.
Having had enough, wife of Adrian Newey, who is the chief technical officer at Red bull, spoke up. She chose Twitter to be her voice, and she wrote, “What qualifies you to judge me, my husband’s or any member or family member of Red Bull’s mental state?”
“When you get a year of abuse, and you don’t even work for the team, it wears you down. Provoking the fans with toxic journalism adds to the problem,” she concluded.
There has been plenty of drama surrounding Red Bull; nonetheless, they emerge triumphant. This season has been a good one.

Red Bull’s Dutch Lion shared his thoughts about their wins. He said, “It is just an incredible season for the team. I never thought I’d be able to win 14 races in a year. I was never really interested in stats. I just live in the moment.”
“I just try to do the best I can every weekend, win the races. That for me is the most important-that I go home and can say I maximised everything. But a lot of F1 depends on your package and I am just enjoying the moment. It is an amazing season and I am very happy with winning so many races.”
