Red Bull came into the season as favorites after a stunning 2021 season. The first three races, however, were a disaster for the Bulls. Despite Max Verstappen’s heroics in Saudi Arabia, the team suffered reliability issues as Ferrari leapfrogged them on the track and the standings. Mercedes who are struggling themselves were second in the standings after the race in Australia.
On to the fourth round in Imola, Red Bull needed to show their strength. And a race in the home of the Prancing Horse was the perfect opportunity to get one over their rivals. They achieved just that as Verstappen clinched his second victory while his partner in crime, Sergio Perez, finished second.

The race in Imola could prove to be a pivotal part of Red Bull’s journey as the season progresses. Max Verstappen has already suffered two DNFs and is currently 27 points behind runaway leader Charles Leclerc as Formula 1 moves to Miami.
