Sergio Perez has set his target for the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix; the Red Bull driver isn’t just eyeing a podium but a race victory altogether in a bid to soak in with the hundreds of thousands of Mexican audience that are likely to show up to the event.
Of course, winning in front of the home crowd is one of the top priorities for an F1 driver, making it less shocking to hear the same from Perez.
However, how far will Red Bull be pleased with Perez’s target? Not so much, especially amidst Max Verstappen’s title hopes hanging in balance.

Winning the big trophy is all Verstappen and his crew is focusing on, which means a potential Perez victory in Mexico might deny the Dutchman a huge opportunity to extend his gap to Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’ standings.
