The Red Bull’s Team Principal, Christian Horner, found himself under scrutiny after his alleged “inappropriate behavior” toward a female employee made it to the headlines. In the wake of this, Horner’s future with Red Bull has been the subject of speculations in the days since the allegations emerged on Monday, 5th February. Nevertheless, on Friday, 9th February, Red Bull is supposed to deliver a verdict on the controversy.

The Sky Sports F1 expert, Craig Slater sat down to reveal the proceedings of the meeting as seen on X and he made an important revelation. The F1 expert revealed the agenda of today’s meeting, the location, and the proceedings of the meeting in his chat ahead of the all-important ‘interview’ for Horner.

Slater explained, “I’ve been guided away from expecting an outcome to this investigation today. I think you’re right not to call it a hearing which it has mostly been described as. I think this is more of a meeting and an interview by the investigators with Christian Horner, which will be as I understand in a central London location today rather than at the team’s headquarters in Milton Keynes.”

So I’m not expecting an outcome today,” he added. “Clearly a very significant day. We know that Red Bull are taking this investigation very seriously. There’s an allegation of inappropriate behavior by Christian Horner by a female member of staff and I understand that’s relates to controlling and potentially coercive behavior.”

Hence, today’s meeting will push the investigation to its final stages, and soon after that the F1 fandom will get the results about Horner’s future in the sport. Whether Horner stays or leaves will be decided in a few days, even though the Brit has denied all allegations. However, some believe he is innocent and are confident the oldest boss on the grid is going nowhere.

Ex-F1 insider gives his verdict on the Christian Horner investigation while revealing the perfect replacement

In his 18 years in the sport, Horner has made a few rivals but also earned a lot of respect for his accolades. However, this controversy, even before we get the verdict, has surely put a stain on his name. However, ex-F1 Dutch racer Giedo van der Garde believes a suspension won’t come as easy and this quickly.

“I don’t see a suspension happening very quickly, but it is of course a stain on his name,” he said. “The team is now putting the finishing touches on it, but I don’t think Horner has to play a very big role in that.”

Although if the worst possible scenario comes true, Red Bull has a perfect replacement in their ranks. “There are quite a few guys under Christian Horner who are very good,” said Van der Garde. “Jonathan Wheatley is a really good guy. If Horner is kicked out, he will become the big boss.”
