Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton have the sourest of their relationship despite being great friends at one point in time. The 2016 championship changed everything. Just like it changed everything for Hamilton in 2021 with Max Verstappen. Now, as Lewis Hamilton targeted Max Verstappen’s dominance, retributive justice was handed over to him by F1 Legend. But what did the legend say?

Lewis Hamilton has been onto Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s back with comments after comments about their dominance. Earlier Hamilton advised how the FIA should introduce a change of rule to stop teams from starting early development for next year. He then called out Max Verstappen’s dominance by advising how it gets lonely if you win by such a margin.

Lately, the 7X world champion called Verstappen out and belittled his dominance by advising how he never had a competitive driver like the Brit did throughout his career. All this while insulting Sergio Perez for not being a competitive teammate. Regardless of whatever the Red Bull team replied, F1 legend Jackie Stewart has now handed retributive justice to Lewis Hamilton by highlighting key points from the Briton’s career.

According to Bild.de, Sir Jackie Stewart said, “The truth is that over the past decade, he has raced with Mercedes for a team that has been virtually non-competitive. Lewis had only one real competitor during this period: his respective teammates. Up until 2016, he always emerged victorious from the duel. And then he lost to Nico Rosberg.” [Translated via Google]

Hamilton and Mercedes dominated for 8 years during the Turbo-Hybrid era. Their dominance at that time was unparalleled just like Red Bull in the current season. Stewart then handled the teammate comments by explaining how only Nico Rosberg, was able to take glory away from the Brit. Let’s see how Red Bull responded to Lewis Hamilton’s accusations.

After Lewis Hamilton launched an attack on Max Verstappen by explaining how he did not have a competitive teammate alongside him, Christian Horner immediately came to the rescue of his golden boy and said, “It’s just not about competing against his teammate. It is about competing against the rest of the field as well. So I think Max is clearly demonstrating what he is capable of that some drivers might not even want to drive alongside him.”

Max Verstappen isn’t one who will back down from accusations like this towards him. After Christian Horner launched the defense against the 7X champion, Max Verstappen took charge and destroyed the Brit with his scathing comments. Verstappen said, “Maybe he’s a little bit jealous of our current success. I don’t know why he says that. Maybe he thinks there is something to win or defend with comments like that, but for me it doesn’t matter at all.”
