Max Verstappen broke the record for most consecutive wins by an F1 driver at the Italian GP. The Dutchman won in Monza and surpassed Sebastian Vettel’s record. However, when Toto Wolff was asked about the same, the Mercedes CEO dismissed the achievement and advised that it’s just a record for the Wikipedia page and nothing more than that. Quite a statement from Toto!

Nonetheless, the Red Bull taskmaster, Helmut Marko is back with a slamming reply for Toto Wolff. According to @RBR_Daily’s Tweet, Helmut Marko told Servus TV, “Wikipedia is one of the most read mediums — maybe someone can tell Wolff that.”

The Austrian also stressed how RBR is not focusing on such comments from Wolff & Mercedes. He added, “We go about our business without making up all these sorts of stories like they do. But we won’t worry about Mercedes, Wolff or Hamilton until they become a serious rival for us again.”

How did Max Verstappen slam Lewis Hamilton for the scathing comments?

Before the Italian GP weekend, Lewis Hamilton advised how Max Verstappen never had teammates as competitive as the Briton had throughout his career as he downplayed the Dutchman’s dominance. While doing so, he also took a shot at Red Bull and Sergio Perez. Regardless, Verstappen made a comeback and advised that maybe Hamilton was just jealous of his success.

Max Verstappen reacted to Hamilton’s comments and said “Maybe he’s a little jealous of my current success. This kind of statement… he possibly thinks he’s winning something with that, but it makes no difference to me. I think Mercedes have a very hard time dealing with losing, after all these years of winning so much”
