For the last four months, every Grand Prix had one outcome, “Max Verstappen wins”. This incredible run saw the Dutchman rack up an incredible record-breaking 10 wins in a row. He even helped Red Bull get the number to 15 in a row, beating McLaren’s 11-win record. Incredibly enough, Verstappen could’ve beaten McLaren‘s team record individually as well with another race win but then came Singapore. The Dutchman’s ego took a beating on the Marina Bay Street Circuit where his P11 starting position already made him lose all hope. However, the wounded Dutch lion is ready to bounce back and attack the entire grid in Japan with the help of the $59 billion ally.

Verstappen is fired up and ready to exact revenge for Singapore. He will, in Japan, have the help of his allies in Honda, who also owns the Suzuka Circuit, the venue for the Japanese GP. Suzuka already suits the RB19 and the Japanese company will definitely love a Honda-powered car to win the race. That is exactly the plan if we are to believe Verstappen on the latest F1 Nation podcast where he discussed the winning streak and ambition for Suzuka as he prepares to exact revenge.

When asked to comment on the winning streak, Verstappen said, “No. Won’t say I’m relieved, but I’m relaxed. I’m motivated to do even better at Suzuka. I’m proud of the 10 wins, but it could have easily been 8. It’s just a number.”

“There are a few things that didn’t work out which we’ll try to work out. But we can’t be sure until we come back next year because this is a very different track, like Suzuka is so different in the way you set up the car. So, I don’t expect any trouble there. I was defeated here by 20 seconds. I’ll win in Suzuka by 20 seconds,” warned the wounded Dutch lion.

A daunting statement for the rest of the grid, as we know Verstappen is easily capable of it. Everyone loves to see this relentless approach from the Dutchman. It’s endearing. However, it’s the side he showcases when things aren’t going according to plan, which earns him criticism.

Max Verstappen earns criticism for his X-rated rants during the Singapore GP

The Dutchman was annoyed from the start during the Singapore GP. He could feel his impeccable RB19 struggling on the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The frustration boiled over during FP3, which is when Verstappen’s rant started.

However, according to Peter Windsor, keeping in mind he already has the championship wrapped up by a mile. It was a bit over the top.

Criticizing this aspect of Verstappen, the former boss said, “I saw the radio transmission from Max afterwards which was pretty grumpy really, overly so I think for a guy who’s got this year’s championship sewn up and he’s a brilliant car underneath him all year. It was along the lines of ‘Did you see that?’ ‘It was just impossible to drive’. A bit over the top really, I thought that reaction.”
