Red Bull Supremo Christian Horner Went to Extreme Measures for $16,000 Romantic Gesture to Impress His Spice Girl Wife

His marriage with his wife Geri Halliwell is nothing less than a fairytale. If we had to pinpoint an incident to justify the claim, a few years back, Horner’s effort and patience for Geri’s birthday gift melted a few hearts around the world.

As a birthday present, Christian Horner reportedly bought back Geri Halliwell her first-ever car. Telling the entire story, Christian said: “She later sold it, so I tracked it down and bought it back for her. Must be the most expensive MGB out there.”

The car in question is a 1965 MGB Roadster.

Geri later shared a snap of herself with the car, stating, “I’ve been reunited with my old friend – MGB Roadster. I originally bought her with first Spice Girl pay check.”

The Ginger Spice told Cosmopolitan, “When we first saw our advance check before the album dropped, we jumped around like mad. My first wow-we-did-it purchase: a 1965 MGB Roadster for £15,000 ($16,000).”

The Red Bull boss also gifted his wife a set of four wheels when they tied the knot in 2015. As a wedding present, Christian gifted Geri with a $373,000 DB5 retro-style Aston Martin.

Geri Halliwell recently said in an interview that she and Christian would like to welcome another child into their family. However, she also admitted that even if it didn’t happen, she had no complaints.

Geri is the mother to a 16-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son, Bluebell and Monty, respectively. She is also the stepmother to Christian’s 8-year-old daughter, Olivia.

In an exclusive interview with Hello, Geri said, “There’s room for another one, for sure, and if that happened that would be great. But either way is okay. We’ve got our hands pretty full and we’re very grateful for what we have.”

The singer further added, “We’ve gone from it being just Bluebell and me for so long, to this blended, modern family.”
